Some say that advertising is a way for people to know about a lot of things they don’t need but would want anyway. That’s why copywriters and art directors try to find the best way to find the desired audience and make them buy a product. Unfortunately, in past times the best way was a little rough, and nobody would even dare to use it nowadays.
Though Volkswagen was known for some of the best ad campaigns in the 60s, was it necessary to keep perpetuating the stereotype that says that women are lousy drivers? We don’t think so, and we wouldn’t make that joke today.
