This doesn’t mean you are not able to take care of your skin anymore. Actually, DIY beauty products are a huge trend and we can make awesome beauty products at home. We’ve put together the best recipes for homemade beauty products of all kinds! Please note that we are not doctors, so remember you should ask your dermatologist before using any of these DIY beauty products. Okay, are you ready? Let’s make some homemade beauty!

Makeup remover


Fill a glass jar about 3/4 of the way with jojoba oil and then (if you want) prick a vitamin E capsule with a needle and squeeze its contents into the jar. Shake! Light can damage jojoba oil and vitamin E, so store this in a dark glass jar.

Yogurt Face Mask


You only need to combine ¼ cup plain yogurt, a half teaspoon of cinnamon and two tablespoons of raw honey in a small bowl. Put it in your face, leave on and after 10 or 15 minutes pat it off with a damp cloth. Lastly, apply moisturizer.

Lip Balm


Melt 6 tablespoons of organic coconut (or olive) oil and 2 tablespoons of beeswax granules in a boiler over medium heat, stirring often until it melts completely. Add 30 drops of your favorite essentials oils. Carefully pour the liquid into a tube and let cool for about an hour.

Face Lotion for Sensitive Skin


Put 3 tablespoons of shea butter into a bowl for mixing. Using a hand mixer or your blender with whisk attachment, start whisking away. Drizzle in 3 tablespoons of apricot kernel oil, one tablespoon of Vitamin E, one tablespoon of Aloe Vera Gel, and then 10 drops of essential oils.

Serum for acne-prone skin


Pour one tablespoon of rosehip oil into a glass dropper bottle. Add 4 drops of lavender essential oil and 4 drops of frankincense essential oil. Cap the dropper bottle and then roll the bottle between your palms for a few seconds. DON’T SHAKE THE BOTTLE! Roll the bottle before each use.

Exfoliating Lip Scrub


Combine one teaspoon of jojoba oil, one teaspoon of raw honey, and a few drops of lemon essential oil. Stir in one or two tablespoons of sugar and mix until it’s fully combined with honey. Apply and gently rub to exfoliate. Leave on lips for two minutes and remove with a wet washcloth.

PH Balancing Shampoo


Combine one can full-fat coconut milk, two tablespoons of liquid raw honey, one teaspoon of jojoba oil, one teaspoon of castor oil, two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and one teaspoon of essential oils of choice in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth. Remember to shake well before each use.

Rosehip Facial Serum


Add ten drops of lavender essential oil, three drops of helichrysum essential oil, two drops of carrot seed essential oil and ¼ teaspoon of pure Vitamin E oil. Next, add half an ounce of rosehip seed oil and half an ounce of jojoba oil. Roll the bottle in your hands to mix. DON’T SHAKE IT!

Face Wash


Mix ⅔ cup of rose water, ⅓ cup of castile soap, one teaspoon of liquid carrier oil, ¼ teaspoon of vegetable glycerin, five drops of vitamin E, ten drops of lavender essential oil, ten drops of chamomile essential oil, five drops of frankincense essential oil in a bottle. Shake it gently before using it.

Detox Face Mask


Mix half tablespoon of bentonite clay, half tablespoon of cocoa, half tablespoon of Maca powder, two tablespoon of plain yogurt and three drops of peppermint essential oil. Spread this minty chocolate power face mask over your face and leave it on about 15-20 minutes. Remove with a warm washcloth.

Pore Strip


Mix one tablespoon of gelatin and one and a half tablespoon of milk, yogurt or kefir. Heat on low heat for a few minutes until the gelatin has dissolved. Let cool enough to avoid burning your skin. Apply a thin layer, let sit for 10-15 minutes and peel the strips off.

Oatmeal Face Mask


Grind three tablespoons of powdered ground oatmeal and mix in three teaspoons of warm strong green tea. Add one teaspoon of raw honey and mash until soft. Add two or three drops of an essential oil and stir. Apply, leave on until dry and rinse with warm water.

Facial Toner with Rosemary


Combine two cups of water and two sprigs of fresh rosemary in a small pan and bring to a boil. Allow simmering until reduced by half and let it cool. Strain through a fine strainer, and add three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar.

Aloe Green Tea Face Scrub


Cut open two green tea bags and add the dry tea to 1/3 cup of coconut oil, 1/4 cup of sugar, one tablespoon of aloe vera jelly and mix! For an even better scrub, add four drops of Vitamin E oil and five drops of tea tree essential oil too.

Natural Lipstick


Melt two tablespoons coconut oil, two tablespoons of shea or cocoa butter and three tablespoons of beeswax in a double boiler. Remove from heat. Stir in half teaspoon of mica powder and ten drops of essential oils of choice. Transfer the mixture to the container and let cool for 1 hour.

Banana Face Mask


Mix two teaspoons of coconut oil, one egg white, half banana and optional ingredients and, if you want, cinnamon, honey, and/or avocado, until smooth and well mixed. Apply and leave on until dry. Rinse away with warm water.

Moisturizing Facial Scrub


Combine three teaspoons argan oil, four teaspoons of jojoba oil and 4 teaspoons of shea butter and heat until it melts. Add three drops of vitamin E and five drops of tea tree essential oil. Add six teaspoons of sugar and after 3-4 minutes add four teaspoons of ground apricot seeds.

Foaming Face Wash


Pour ⅓ cup of castile soap and a half teaspoon of sweet almond oil (or olive oil) into a dispenser. Add ten drops of Ylang Ylang essential oil, six drops of patchouli essential oil and four drops of lemongrass essential oil and swirl. Fill the container with a ⅔ cup of filtered water.

Detox Face Mask


Mix four capsules of activated charcoal, one tablespoon of bentonite clay, one teaspoon of Maca powder, one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 2-4 drops of Purification essential oil in small bowl. Spread this super black cleanse face mask, leave it on until it dries and remove with a warm washcloth.

Leave-In Conditioner


Whisk together one tablespoon of coconut milk, ¼ cup of distilled water (or tap water, after boiling it for 5 minutes and let it cool) and ten drops of essential oils and pour mixture into a spray bottle. Shake it, spritz through damp hair and comb through. Store in the fridge!

Honey Salt Body Scrub


Whisk together ⅓ cup of honey and ½ cup of olive oil. Slowly mix in one cup of salt and then add five or six drops of essential oil, and mix well.

Shaving Cream


Melt ⅓ cup of shea butter and ⅓ cup of coconut oil on a low heat. Once it’s melted, pour into a container and add in ¼ cup of olive oil and stir. Put in the fridge and, once it’s solid, whip it until it’s light and creamy.

Deodorant Stick


Put 1/3 cup of coconut oil, three tablespoons of beeswax, and two tablespoons of shea butter over low heat and stir until melted. Remove off heat and whisk in a ⅓ cup of arrowroot powder and two tablespoons of baking soda. Mix thoroughly (but quickly) pour into an empty deodorant container and let it sit.

Bath Salts


Mix one cup of Epsom salt and one cup sea salt in a bowl. Scoop the salt mixture into small tin containers. Add five or six drops of essential oils, place the lid back on and shake. Ready! Add these beautiful bath salts to a full bath of water!

Bubble Bath


In a pint-sized pump bottle, add one cup of liquid unscented castile soap, ¼ cup of vegetable glycerin, ten drops of essential oils and one teaspoon of aloe vera juice. Shake it strongly for a few seconds (shake it, shake it!) and voilá! It’s done!

Cuticle Cream


Mix one heaping teaspoon of honey, 20 grams of beeswax, 45 grams of a carrier oil (like coconut oil) and two drops of essential oil in a saucepan until they are melted and evenly combined. Pour the mixture into a container and let your new cuticle cream harden before using it.

Hand Cream


Melt ¼ cup of shea butter, one tablespoon of beeswax and a ⅛ cup of sweet almond oil and stir until melted. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes and stir in ten drops of myrrh essential oil and ten drops of cedarwood essential oil. Pour into a glass container and let it harden.

Herbal Foot Soak


Mix two cups of Epsom salt, three tablespoons of Baking Soda, two tablespoons of lavender flowers and two tablespoons of chopped Rosemary leaves in a bowl. Gently stir and then pour into a jar to store. When using it, add a few drops of tea tree oil directly to the water.

Lavender Foot Cream


Melt ½ cup of olive oil, ¼ cup of beeswax pastilles and two tablespoons of coconut oil in a double boiler, until it melts completely. Remove from heat and stir as it cools. When the lotion is cool but not solid yet, mix in 15 drops of Lavender essential oil. Ready!

Detox Face Mask


Mix one egg yolk, 1 ½ tablespoons of bentonite clay, one teaspoon of turmeric, ½ tablespoon of raw honey and two drops of Frankincense essential oil in small bowl. Spread this honey spice face mask over your face, leave it on until it dries and remove it with a warm washcloth.

Coconut Oil Hair Mask


Mix five to ten drops of essential oils if you want to (ylang-ylang and rosemary are good options) and two to four tablespoons of coconut oil. Massage into your hair, leave in for 30 to 60 minutes and wash out. (see below for tips).

Hair Conditioner


Mix two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 16 ounces of water in a jar and shake it strongly to combine. Shake it well before applying it, and pour it directly on the hair. You can rinse your hair or not, is up to you.

Dry Shampoo


Put a spoonful of arrowroot powder in a bowl and almost the same amount of cocoa powder (if you are blonde, don’t use cocoa powder). Pinch a bit of the mixture with your fingers and sprinkle it on your greasy hair. Then use a comb to move it down. Easy, right?

Exfoliating Facial Scrub


Mix one teaspoon of organic cane sugar, one or two drops of water and one of two drops of orange, lemon or lavender essential oil in a small bowl. Gently rub the scrub into your clean face (avoiding the eyes). Remove it by rinsing with cool water.

Eye Cream


Bring 2″ of water in a small saucepan to a boil. Add two tablespoons of coconut oil, one teaspoon of vitamin E oil and one tablespoon of primrose oil to a mason jar and warm until the oils are melted. Remove from heat and add in 3-5 drops of essential oils.

Night Cream


Melt half a teaspoon of beeswax, one of coconut oil, half of a shea butter and two tablespoons of almond oil and let cool. Mix ¼ cup of aloe vera gel, one teaspoon of vitamin E oil, 5-10 drops of lemon essential oil and one teaspoon of honey. Once the first mixture has cooled, blend it with the second mixture. Add 1/2 teaspoon of bentonite clay and stir with a non-metal utensil.

Strawberry Face Scrub


Mix ¼ cup of sugar and one tablespoon of coconut oil. Cut fresh strawberries up into tiny pieces and add in sugar mixture. Smashing the strawberries together and mix it all together. Spread all over your face, allow to sit for a few minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Hair Mousse for Curls


Take one egg and separate the yolk from the white. Then, beat the egg white for a couple of minutes until it has a hair mousse consistency. Apply to your hair and style as usual. That’s it!

Hair Mask


Blend one tablespoon of organic coconut oil, 1/2 ripe avocado, and one egg until uniform. Ready! Rub a little in your hands and spread it through your hair, especially at the ends. Leave it on about 15 minutes and then wash and rinse as usual.

Detox Face Mask


Blend half an avocado until smooth and then add the juice of half lemon, one tablespoon of coconut oil and two drops of lemon essential oil. Spread this over your face and leave it on until it dries. Remove it with a warm washcloth (and avoid the sun for 24 hrs!).

Citrus Salt Scrub


Put one cup of sea salt, ½ cup of softened refined coconut oil and 10 drops or so of your favorite essential oil in a bowl and stir to combine with a wooden spoon. Done! Pour into a jar, cover, and -most important- use it! Is an amazing shower body scrub!

Hair-Growth Scrub


Mix three tablespoons of brown sugar and two tablespoons of coconut oil (or olive oil). Apply the mixture to scalp and massage gently with the pads of your fingers. Rinse thoroughly and follow with your normal shampoo regimen.

Hair Detangler Spray


Put two tablespoons of hair conditioner in the bottom of an empty 12 ounces spray bottle. Add one cup of hot water and shake shake shake until it’s thoroughly mixed. Ready! You can now go full detangled.

Teeth Whitening


Dilute one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in one cup of water and swish for 2 minutes. Use this mix as a mouth rinse (but then rinse yellow teeth thoroughly with water!)

Facial Steam


Place sage in a heatproof bowl. Pour two cups of hot water into the heatproof bowl. Place a towel over your head to create a tent over the bowl and lower face over the bowl and stay here for about 15 to 20 minutes.

Lemon Toner


Simply juice a fresh lemon to get a 1/4 cup, removing the seeds from the juice. Measure out the lemon juice and add 1/3 cup of witch hazel (or rose water). Then, add and 1/3 cup of purified water. Done!

Coffee Face Mask


Mix one tablespoon of coffee powder and one tablespoon of honey well in a bowl to make a fine paste. Spread this mix on the skin and gently massage in circular motions. Let it remain on the skin for 20 minutes and then rinse it off.

Turmeric Mask


Put one teaspoon of turmeric and one teaspoon of honey into a bowl and mix until all of the turmerics has been incorporated into a paste. Slowly add one teaspoon of milk. Apply the mask, let it dry (but no more than 20 minutes) and wash it off with warm water.

Pumpkin Face Mask


Mix and mash one tablespoon of cooked pumpkin, one teaspoon of raw honey and one teaspoon Vitamin E together and apply to skin. Leave on skin for 15 minutes and then rinse with cool water and cleanser.

Detox Face Mask


Whip one egg white to stiff peaks and gently fold in one tablespoon of sour cream and 2-4 drops of Lavender essential oil. Spread this mask over your face and leave it on until it dries about 15-20 minutes. Remove with a warm washcloth.
