Foods That Can Be Helpful If You Are Feeling Bloated

Sometimes your stomach is tricky and might become your worst enemy. If you are having a bad day or you are simply nervous over an exam, you know it is likely you will feel bloated or with constipation. This is mostly because when we eat processed food, it is not that simple to get rid of the toxins or enzymes they produce. This is even worse if you are a woman because they suffer almost twice the pain of a bloated stomach. And sometimes the medication creates some sort of dependency, which is why we thought of several natural replacements.

Green tea


Green tea does not only help you as a diuretic, it is also great when you are trying to lose weight and even when you are trying to heal wounds quickly.



A cup of coffee in the morning, the second you wake up, is great if you are trying to use it as a diuretic. If you are lactose tolerant, it will serve its purpose better if you add milk.

Apple Cider Vinegar


The taste and smell is not the greatest, but it helps you to digest easily all types of food, especially if you have a glass of water with a spoon if vinegar right before eating

Carrot Juice


Carrot juice is great because it tastes so good, and it is easy for your body to absorb, therefore it helps with your digestion. Just be careful if you are trying to cut sugar from your diet because it contains lots of it.

Cranberry Juice


Cranberry juice works so well, that some doctors believe it works better than medicine when it comes to consuming diuretics. It is also good when you have a urinary infection.

Dandelion Tea


Dandelion tea is not only good with your digestion, it works when you are having a stomach ache, muscular pain or even when you are trying to get rid of bruises. Just make sure you are not allergic

Yarrow Tea


Yarrow is an herb that is known and is used as medicine for longer than 50.000 years. If you drink a cup of Yarrow Tea at least four times a week, you won’t be suffering from constipation anymore

Horsetail Tea


This tea made with an herb that is considered annoying by most gardeners can help you with many things, not only if you are having problems with constipation. It is great for your hair, for example

Nettle Tea


Nettle tea is made from a leaf that can be helpful if you are suffering from urinary infections, allergies or it could be helpful as a detox beverage



It is not only the fact that water is good for your bowel, water is necessary if you are suffering from constipation. You must drink at least 6 cups a day.



Dandelion is some sort of weed that looks like a flower and it serves as a natural remedy for constipation. Just make sure not to consume it if you don’t need it because it can make your stomach hurt

Butcher’s Broom


Butcher’s broom is a root and it can be used for cramps, stomach pain, swallowing, and as a laxative. You must drink an extract from it at least twice a day for a week.

Stinging Nettle


Stinging nettle is a plant and its roots can be used as a laxative. You can have it on a tea, but make sure you won’t drink too much from it, only once a day, otherwise it will make your stomach hurt



Buchu is an oily leaf from South Africa with a spicy taste. You can consume it as a beverage or the oil made with the extract from it. Make sure you drink the tea at least twice a week

Corn Silk


You can make tea out of corn silk and it has several medicinal uses, for example when you are having a bladder infection or Bad cholesterol. You can consume it as much as you want per week.

Red Clover


Red clover helps to eliminate the enzymes from your body that you no longer need. It is also great for people who are suffering from cancer and diabetes. You can consume a tablespoon from its extract at least twice a day



Parsley is a great diuretic and you can make tea with its leaves. Just make sure you won’t drink too much from it per week. It is also good if you have a mosquito bite infection



Chives are some sort of onions and they are great if you are trying to avoid getting sick with several diseases such as cancer. You can consume it on a salad or even as a soup



Fennel is great when you are trying to eliminate the enzymes from your body. You can the root, the flowers or even the extract from it. But let me warn you, the taste is not the greatest



Yarrow are flowers and you can consume the extract from them if you are suffering from constipation. Just make sure that you are not allergic, which is quite common when it comes to consuming flowers



Watercress is filled with potassium, which is basically what helps people to get rid of the enzymes and the excess of water from your organism. They are great on salads.



Cilantro helps you when you are trying to get rid of the excess of water your body contains, especially when you are on a detox diet and trying to lose quickly a few pounds.



Hawthorne berry can be used on your daily intake of herbs when you are on a diet and it removes all the sodium in your body no longer needs. This is why it is great as a diuretic.



Celery is great when you are trying to clean your organism from the inside, and you can consume it on salads, soups or even when you are having a smoothie every single morning during breakfast



Cucumber is a vegetable filler with water and it is easy to absorb, which is why it is great if you don’t like to drink too much water because it will replace the intake (just a little bit)



Almost every fruit in this world is great if you are trying to consume natural diuretics, but the most important is the watermelon. It is filled with water and it is easy to digest.



First of all, make sure you are only consuming strawberries during summer because the ones you eat in winter might cause you stomach pain (and they do not taste so good)



Asparagus might result in smelly pee, but it is great if you are trying to consume a natural diuretic and also trying to build an athletic body. It is also filled with tons of vitamins



Artichoke is a vegetable and it is great as a digestive. You can consume it on salads or even as a pizza topping. You can consume it as a whole or the leaves and the heart, depending on which part tastes good for you



It comes in two different colors: green or purple. Both of them are good if you are trying to consume it as a diuretic, although the green tastes better. It is filled with potassium, which is great if you are fighting cancer



Carrots are filled with antioxidants and vitamins that help your immune system and also are great if you are suffering from constipation. You can eat as much as you want per week



Lettuce is probably the most underrated vegetable in the entire world. It is great to consume if you are bloated and trying to get rid of a few pounds. You can also replace bread with a few leaves and make a sandwich



They have almost the same effect as the asparagus on your organism. Do not be scared when you consume them if your pee becomes a little bit reddish because it is totally normal.



Onions are great on everything. Literally, they will improve the taste of any dish you are making. And it is an excellent antioxidant, therefore, it serves its purpose as a diuretic.

Brussel Sprouts


Brussel sprouts have many properties, for example, if you are trying to lose weight or you feel bloated, you can have them with a salad for a couple of days and they will work at its best.



It is well known within the world of medicine and nutrition that the vegetables that grow by the sea, like the seaweed, have almost twice the nutrients and vitamins than the ones that grow on land



Lemons are great. They are like a miracle especially made for us. You can use it for every kind of meal, and they will improve it. Just be careful and don’t consume too much of it, it is not good for your blood.



Grapes are one of those fruits that are mostly made of water and high on nutrients, for example, they are filled with potassium and fiber. Also, they taste incredible and you can consume them as a snack



Kiwi is like, the must consume fruit during summer. You can eat the fruit alone, with other fruits like orange, watermelon or berries, and of course, they are the perfect ingredient for smoothies



Pears contain something called pectin fiber and they can be used as a natural diuretic, especially during a detox diet when you are trying to get rid of a bloated stomach



Pineapple or Anana in Spanish is one of my favorite fruits in the world. They taste amazing, you can consume them on everything (some people even consume pineapple pizza!) And it has diuretic properties



Tomatoes taste incredible and they contain more than 90% of water. They also contain Vitamin C and antioxidants, which are great when you are looking for natural diuretics



Eggplants are not on the top of my list, in fact, I really don’t like them that much. But if you are looking for a quick problem solver when it comes to suffering from constipation, this must be your choice.

Black Currant


They come from Europe and Asia, and they can increase the amount of urine or help you when you have a fever. It contains five times more Vitamin C than oranges, although they do not taste so good



This fruit is filled with nutrients, water, protein, vitamins, calcium and potassium, and this is why it is a great example of what you must consume when you are constipated



Mango is a tricky fruit. For example, you must watch out where you buy it because it is easy to suffer from food poison with many of them. But if you buy the proper ones, they can help you feel less bloated



Oats are considered one of those superfoods. You can have them on everything, make tons of meals with it, and they are filled with nutrients and vitamins. They are great for your health



Garlic is another superfood and it helps with many things. For example, if you are trying to avoid suffering from cholesterol, you must consume it at least four times a week.



Ginger is not one of my favorite ingredients, in fact, I find it really spicy sometimes, but if you are bloated or with constipation, having a cup of ginger tea will make miracles on you



It helps if you are trying to prevent cancer, or decreasing your blood pressure. It is also filled with Omega 3 and fiber, so it works great as a natural diuretic
